This is the Poulenc Trio's debut recording with Liang Wang, principal oboist of the New York Philharmonic. Recorded at the Earl and Darielle Linehan Concert Hall at the University of Maryland–which the New York Times has praised for its "stunning, sumptuous acoustics"–this disc features major works by Poulenc, Françaix, Rossini, Shostakovich, and the world premiere recording of Viet Cuong’s Trains of Thought, commissioned by the Poulenc Trio.
