Poulenc Trio

This piano/oboe/bassoon trio has rediscovered and redefined piano-wind chamber music for the 21st century and has been praised by the Washington Post for its “convincing elegance, near effortless lightness and grace.” This program will feature works by Beethoven and a special pairing of Alfred Schnittke's Suite in the Old Style with a spoken word performance by Baltimore-based poet Lia Purpura, a frequent New Yorker contributor and winner of a Guggenheim Fellowship. Poulenc Trio includes Irina Kaplan Lande, piano; Alexander Vvedenskiy, oboe; and Bryan Young, bassoon.
